Challenges in the areas of the environment, circularity, sustainability, and human health provide many opportunities for a diverse chemical manufacturer like Sluyter. At Sluyter, we will act transformatively, through strategic management, to reach our sustainability goals. Our main goal is to be ahead of the curve with our sustainability targets, and make a positive impact in our industry, our community, and our planet.

We understand the urgent need to diverge away from traditional linear business models. And we understand the need to re-build our processes to reflect living systems – so that the biological and technical effects of our business systems are as regenerative as possible. Sluyter has set ambitious sustainability targets for 2026. We aim to reduce our carbon footprint, communicate our sustainability targets to our suppliers, and align our research and development efforts with the leading progressive resources in our industry, including regulators and academia. Through our sustainability targets, we are pursuing a circular approach that reflects the entire product life cycle; taking into account environmental, social and economic aspects.

Our Sustainability Goals by 2026

All major suppliers will comply with our sustainability requirements. Reduce specific greenhouse gas emissions by 25% when compared to our base year 2006.

Our management team will take a hands-on approach to monitoring our suppliers’ sustainability performance.

Assess risks from our products to people and the environment throughout the lifecycles of our products. Reduce our impact to the environment by advocating for environmental protection through more stringent internal processes and regulatory compliance.
